Hey mamas!
I’m trying to keep my 3yo’s room a little more organized toy wise. What are some things that you guys have or do to keep their toys more organized?
We have a lot of paw patrol and PJ mask figurines, dinosaurs, toy cars, etc - a lot of small stuff!
Any ideas welcome! 🤪

In my daughters room I do the Montessori style organization. My son just doesn’t have enough stuff yet to bother with it.
But, Long story short:
I have two bins that i fill with toys. Those two bins go out into the garage for 6 weeks. Then they come in and get put in her room, and the toys that we’re remaining in her room for the last 6 weeks get put in the bins. Literally just rotate the toys every 6 weeks.
This helps with her appreciating her toys, but it also helps me realize what toys she just doesn’t care for. If she doesn’t want to play with a certain toy after six weeks without it, then that’s my sign to donate it.
Each just has a big toy box in their room with all their toys thrown in it. I gave up trying to keep it all organized. It’s an easy cleanup just tossing it all in and they like to “help”.
I don't do it, I wish I could get my life together enough to do it. Keep the toys in bins with lids and rotate the toys every couple of weeks. Big toys put them on one of those box shelf things so they can take them off.
Throw a lot of them away 😂 jk
I actually go through their toys frequently and ask them to donate what they no longer play with. I am a big time purger. Other than that they have a long ottoman they store their toys in plus their play kitchen and that’s about it outside of stuffed animals and dolls. All the stuffed animals go in a hanging organizer I got off amazon
I have a bookshelf that I’ve put baskets into. We have a vehicle basket, “little guys”, train track, blocks, etc it looks better than those cheap toy organizers and is bigger which I like. Hope it helps
I tried this but my kids end up mixing everything up anyway
@bunsinmyoven, I make my son sort with me so he actually enjoys doing it now. Every kid is different.
@mswedes, totally. And then group herd mentality over here😆 bc my oldest would organize it all w care and my middle child would come in and wreck it all so she’s like what’s the point?

Going off these makeup posts...
If you were told to completely clear out your makeup bag and were only allowed to keep *3 products* for a more natural/lighter look what would you keep? What are your top three staples? And what are some products you use a lot BUT know it is something you could definitely go without.
Has anyone else thought of this nonsense with her being weird, not having consistent information etc. as seeming a whole lot like the beginning of Glee with the fake pregnancy?!

I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. At first I told him “only let her get one toy” so she picks one up and he is still holding her over the toy box then tries to put her over the baby gate so she can grab more. I’m sorry but you ...
Toy organizer is the way to go. My 3 yr old has many of the same toys and we seperate them in each bin
