Here's her bio and general tips: Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. Some days I feel like she is completely ready, like she will take off her pull ups on her own and puts on big girl panties and other days she flips out if she doesn’t have a pull up on. I just don’t know what to do.

She’s most likely regressing because she has a baby in the house and she wants to be a baby. My daughter did the same thing at 3.5 when her brother was born. I’d sit her on the toilet and she’d hold it then go to her room and pee in her pants. If your daughter can hold it that long then she’s definitely ready to use the potty. What kind of reward system are you using? With my daughter we did stickers for pee and candy for poop. You will need to figure out what she responds to. It’s a hard process, I’ve been there.

We are doing m&ms if she goes (they’re her favorite) and some days she takes off her pull ups and runs around naked on her own and other days she flips out if she doesn’t have a pull up on. It’s just hard and I want to do best for her but I don’t want her in pull ups forever.

I think that’s just a normal part of the process. My son has been potty training for the past 3 months and he’s the same way. Some days he goes in the potty 6x a day without a fight and other days he outright refuses and just wants his pull-up. Today he threw a big tantrum screaming his head off because I was making him sit on the potty. He hadn’t peed in 2 hours and his pull-up was dry so I figured he’d go. He didn’t and I tried again an hour later and he went. I wish I had the answer but I think we all go through it.

consistency is key. But if she isn’t fully ready it won’t happen. My 13 year old was also potty trained at 2 but my 4 year old is still in a pull up at night and will not poop on the potty. Every kid is different. Nothing wrong with them or you. And don’t let anyone tell you or make you feel different!
