Potty training has been a struggle let me tell you!! My son holds it in even when he sits on the toilet he will clench his butt 😭 I got him probiotics and a new toilet seat with a stool so I hope it somewhat helps. (He isn’t constipated because his stool isn’t hard he just refuses to go diaper nor toilet)
Does he pee just fine? I've heard sometimes going #2 is a struggle, they master it after. Also, if he is constipated it might make it more difficult, makes him scared, so he holds it in.
He may not be ready yet. Potty training is not just physical, it is emotional and psychological. If it is forced, it can lead to cycles of constipation and bowel issues. It just concerns me that he is clenching it in that tightly. Whether it is fear or control or something else.
I'm in no way criticizing, I know diapers are expensive, families put a lot of pressure on. My daughter wasn't truly ready and we struggled back and forth a long time.
One day it just clicked for her and she never had another accident.
My son will use the rest room all day but when he has to poop he screams “mom I need a diaper, hurry” I tell him no poop in the toilet and he screams and cry’s “no I need a diaper” I eventually given in 🤦🏻♀️🙄
I got the little 1$ boxes of candy from Walmart. Like from movie theater and told my son if he went poop in the potty he got them. It worked
Give him high fiber, give him apples, oranges, fruits, if he'll eat them. If he has a lot of fiber in his diet, he won't be able to hold it. That also means, he might go in his pants 😬
@damians_mommy give him more, but the hard part is actually getting him to eat them, lol, and get some prunes, or try dried fruits, trust me when I say, if he has loads of fiber, he won't be able to hold it, that's what I did with my son
@flamingfiremom give her an apple, trust me, if she can eat it all, she'll literally have apple coming out, lol. Idk what you mean by lots of fiber, lol, but I'm gonna say if her poop is hard, she doesn't have enough fiber 🤷🏿♀️😅
Lol, I heard @damians_mommy I just meant to give him a whole lot of fiber do he'd be unable to hold the poop. High fiber also makes runny poop, so... lol. Chia seeds are great source of fiber too
Maybe give him an enema .. it will automatically make it all come out without him pushing or anything lol
You're not serious are you?? He's not even THREE. I think it's more likely you're potty training too early and he's just not ready. The more you push, the more he's gonna resist. We tried and tried and just kept comin back to it. With boys, my experience with alot of my friends boys, and my own, that 3.5 was the MAGIC age and they all just GOT it! Patience Mama, he WILL learn eventually, promise.
Dont give him the option of a diape.r if he poops in his undies clean them . We took our daughter to Walmart and she got to pick out her own big kid undies with minnie mouse on them. If she pooped in them I made her throw them away ( I went later and got them and cleaned them ) but she hated to throw minnie away . After 2 accident she didn't have any
