Tips on getting your 2yr old girl to use the toilet? I tried rewarding, just underwear, books, potty songs, going every 10-15mins. She will hold in her pee just to use the diaper and not the toilet. She will pee in her underwear just to avoid the toilet. She refuses. She tells me when her diaper is full (even tho I don’t need her to). She tells me when she went poop.
Just wait a few more months. I went thru the same frustration and just stopped for a few months til she was ready. And I let her run around the house naked...no chonies or pull ups. Don’t use pull ups. It was a mistake I made at night. Like no joke...when she was finally ready she got it down in like 2-3 days and never has had an accident. Not even sleeping thru the night. She was fully trained a couple months before her 3rd birthday
I’m glad all of these moms jumped in on your questions. My daughter does the same things yours does and I’ve tried the same tactics you have. I don’t push her, but I do encourage.
I guess they’ll transition when they want to .....but let me tell you, mine is definitely smart enough to tell me when she needs to go 🤦🏽♀️ but also waits for a diaper on.
My daughter is smart enough too but I think she’d be potty trained now if it weren’t for her little sister 😂
She probably isn’t ready. My daughter is now fully potty trained and has been for the last two months. She will be 3 in August. I just decided one day I was done with the diapers and put her in underwear. I was giving her an occasional reward but she basically did it on her own.
Don’t push it. Every child is different. She will let you know when she’s ready. I learned with my first that. I was like you, but I got very frustrated so I just let it be. When she turned 3 she went and did in the bathroom all by herself. Ever since than no more diaper.
Try again when she’s ready pressuring her will just make her avoid it more and for longer.
Honestly everyone told me that maybe she isn’t ready and give her time. That’s what I did .. she’s slowly getting it atleast 80% of the time she won’t pee her pants but we still have one accident every once in a while. She’ll be 3 in October
It doesn't sound like she's ready. Try again in 3-6 months.
Sounds like she is not ready yet .. every child is ready at their own pace and will let u know .. my daughter can’t talk yet and doesn’t use the potty but I can tell she wants to learn bkz every time she needs to poop or pee she tried to take off her diaper first and goes towards the bathroom bt ends up pooping or peeing on the floor lol
Y'all!! So on another app a lady posted that she had heard some ppl don't use baby wipes when their baby has just a pee diaper? Is this a thing? I personally use wipes at every diaper change, I just think there would be pee left behind if I didn't...
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

Her helmet she got so she can be safe (as she told me) when she rides her bike and scooter lol
It’s because she has a baby sister and she wants to be a baby. My daughter was 3.5 when her brother was born and she was already potty trained but suddenly she “forgot” how to use the potty 😩 She would deliberately hold it even while she was sitting on the toilet, then she’d go to her room and pee in her undies. She’d come out and say she had an “accident.” It was no accident. I was changing her undies 5x a day. It was hard and I had to start a whole new reward system. We always gave candy for poop but we started a sticker chart for pee. I even threatened her with pull ups and made her put on a pull up every time she peed her pants. Eventually she got back on track but it took months and she was almost 4 by then. It’s a process. Your daughter isn’t even close to 3 so I wouldn’t push it. Give her a break and wait til she shows interest again.
