What are your favorite sides for a cookout?
I’m sister and brother in law are coming over for 4th of July/husbands bday. It will be a tiny thing, but I still want to cook.
So far i have potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs, baked beans, chips, and 3 dips.
Then a couple of sweets.

I usually do a fruit and vegetable platter as well . Inexpensive and good !
There's an awesome side I make that's a corn jalepeno cream cheese casserole.
Shoe peg corn
Cream cheese
Chopped jalepeno
Mix all together
Top it with shredded cheese
Bake at 350 for like 10 minutes or so..
I make two dishes everyone loves here. The first is corn and diced green Chile mixed with cream cheese. So good! The second is bacon wrapped jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese. Of course I’m from the southwest though and we make just about anything spicy 😆
@jennatess, I take two cans of corn and drain them then add it to a sauce pan. I put in a can of green chilies without draining that one. Sometimes I add two cans if I want it hot. Then I heat it and add little blobs of cream cheese and stir til it’s creamy. I usually do half of a brick of cream cheese, sometimes more. The more you put the creamier and it takes away some of the spice so it’s up to your taste buds :)

I’m originally from the Midwest, and I get so pissy with how crappy the quality of corn is out here in Nevada! Haha. So I think maybe a canned dish would satisfy me more. This is perfect! 🙌🏼

What's for dinner, ladies? I'm making baked ziti with a salad because I had the urge to make sauce from scratch. What's on your table?
I got to give up McDonald’s 😭😭😭😭😭😭 love their chicken and their salads and shakes and cookies I don’t know if I could give it up
I had a taco salad from Taco Bell and it was gross.. 😷
Mac and cheese? 😂 I feel so basic.
