My husband decided to tell me that anyone can get paid to do dishes or watch a child & to be honest I haven’t spoken to him since... it was his idea for me to be a stay at home mom & now I see why I’ve felt unappreciated because all this time this is what he really thought of it smh

Though I agree with him that yes, "anyone can do dishes and watch children", that man needs a wake up call, bc it takes a dedicated, hard working, patient person to be a stay at home parent. It is not strenuous in the way of labor and hard work the way most people think of it, but it takes hard work and is exhausting if you're doing it right. I am more tired at the end of my "work day" with my children than my work day with my job. Geeze mama. Sit down and discuss this with him. He needs to have his eyes open. If you're not the stereotypical stay at home mom, munching on chips, and getting fat in the couch (LMBO) you are working hard every day! Sure anyone can do dishes and watch children but only a mom can mother her children and raise them up right. Don't let him get to you. He will never know what it is to be in your shoes. I'm right here with you!!!

Exactly! & I also homeschool her as well .. I do a lot & even when he’s off I’m still “working” he doesn’t understand I don’t get to clock out but we’re definitely going to have a talk

Let him know that you are not "watching" your children. You are RAISING them. There is a HUGE difference!!

That's so rude I actually let my x get me to take care of kids and he would give me money then he started saying nothing I say had value because I dont bring money into the house
