Any moms with a child with adhd.. how do you keep your sanity ... how do you get threw to your child to get them to listen... i wana pull my hair out nothing i do works

My son has adhd with other diagnoses as well. He is also on concerta and risperdol. He has intensive in home therapy and we do family therapy. It’s a lot of work. I suggest becoming a part of a support group and to reach out to other moms even if it’s just to vent. It’s gonna be okay momma.
Thank you I cant wait to get her the help she needs.. its all alot right now... being pregnant with a toddler and my child with adhd has me wanting to cry almost every night
@familyislife121417, I completely understand momma. I’ve had those days. It gets easier from here. Once she gets the diagnosis sorted and you get the help in place over time it will get better. I’m here if you ever want to talk. You aren’t alone.

My child has adhd along with other things. He takes concerta for the adhd and sees a psychologist.
Yea my daughter has ptsd and suppose to have a evaluation for the adhd and everything ive read and seen about an adhd child she deffenatly has it
@scream.queen, you can ask the dr about adding in a medicine that will help as he comes off the concerta. My son is on risperdol so as he is coming off concerta it’s not as noticeable. How is his appetite?
@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts, His appetite took a big decrease in the beginning. I had to fight him to eat. He's back to normal now.

How old are you with your first child?
With lots and lots of patience and adjustments. I used to feel OVERWHELMED but now I'm truly used to where she's at right now but also where her growth is taking her. As long as I'm calm she's calm..if I panic she'll panic so I definitely have to lead by example. Of course it's easier said than done at first but it works. She's received occupational therapy which was great for her at that time now it's about helping release her energy yet being considerate towards her surroundings and rewarding her for her accomplishments. Yes it was a bit tough at first but keeping that optimistic attitude around her motivates her. She still has her moments because she is definitely strong willed but she is getting better.
Hang in there k have a little faith that it's all going to be ok🙏❤
