After today I have 3 work days left. 7hr shifts. My 2 week notice stated my last day will be the 24th. Our move in date is July 1st, well we may be moving sooner like the 27th or 28th my husband is insistent I tell my work that today or tomorrow will be my last day since we have a ton to do and may move sooner. I have mixed feelings about it and don’t think that would be right informing them I’m done sooner. It’s not like they don’t have enough people, beside the point I guess. What would any of you do in this situation? I know we have lots to do but dang 😩

If it’s a professional job, you need to honor what you told them as your last date. You don’t want to burn bridges, especially with a company/manager that will give you good references for future jobs.

I work in a grocery store. That’s what I think too but it’s tough when my husband is so insistent on me quitting early. He doesn’t think I owe them anything anymore and saying think of your children 🙄 OMG!

tell him you want to finish this out, as the respectful and honorable thing to do. And you want to stay on their good side so you can get good references.
