Wear a mask please 😷 please social distance. I’m tired of doing covid swabs in the ER. I’m tired of wearing N95s for 16 hours in one day. Arizona is supposedly one of the new epicenters. The hospital system is getting over whelmed. One of the hospitals in my system is at 96% capacity. You won’t have a hospital to go to if you don’t take this seriously....

@allamericanmommy, Yeah I had the worse feeling when they re-opened. It wasn’t long after that, that we started having major increases in COVID infections. Most people aren’t understanding that even though the economy is open again it doesn’t mean we are past all this and to not take precautions. My dad is an ER doctor in Sun City and he’s worried about the max capacity of what they are able to take on out there since most of the residents and patients are elderly. Girl, we are in this for the long haul. Who would’ve thought that when we got our Nursing degrees, years later we would be fighting a pandemic illness war. Crazy when I really think about it.
@ourfamilyof8, it really is. I still absolutely love what I do and wouldn’t change it for the world but man I’m exhausted. We aren’t even allowed to request time off.
@allamericanmommy, Yes me too, I’m totally their with you☺️. I’m so happy and thankful that Im able to do my job and help but the exhaustion is real lol the one day I’m off I’m like 🥴 lol We aren’t allowed to request any time off either.
I have land in Tucson so I’ve been watching this. I’m skipping a trip to Texas next week because of the spike in cases. Our Gov just made wearing a face mask in public spaces mandatory. He said there are too many faces out there going uncovered and messing up the progress we have already made so he feels like he has no choice. He’s even looking into actually enforcing the law just like one county whose been writing misdemeanor tickets for it.
I hope other states watch and possibly follow.
They are having a meeting here tomorrow with all the mayors (phoenix and surrounding cities) deciding if it will be mandatory to wear masks.

@m0mmy, nope. It’s still a suggestion. The governor said it was up to the mayors to decide because apparently he doesn’t have the balls to do it.
I wish people would listen but they wont and all keep hanging out like nothing is going on it the world that's what's so frustrating
@allamericanmommy agree I only leave once a week to go buy food and I go right when they open and I'm so scared stores and people are not wearing mask at all
@dragontrainer1, same here. Amazon and instant cart are my best friends. My work has been awesome too a culinary school donated a whole bunch of pre made meals that we can buy for $6/family so that’s amazing. So when I work I just get a few of those and freeze them. They are healthy and super yummy too. But My kids haven’t been anywhere besides my moms and mother in laws in months. I feel bad for them. But we are already high risk me being a ER nurse and my husband a firefighter we don’t need to get them more exposure than they need.

@allamericanmommy, I know this is crazy and it got out of hand fast! Edited: Our ER and ICU have been slammed! I work at one of the main hospitals in downtown Phoenix. I’m so totally exhausted! I hardly ever see anyone with a mask on now out and about after they opened everything back up. I hope they really do make it mandatory! 16hr days/6days a week has become the standard.
