It worked with me I had my membranes swepted with my second born the contractions started soon as I left the doctor's office and I ended up having her 2 days later.
I think it's worth the try. Hurts like a bitch but even if it doesn't make you go into labor immediately, it can still shorten the amount of days it'll be until you go into labor. That's why I always go ahead and get it done.
It worked with my son went into labor 3 days later but it didnt with my daughter. It doesnt hurt anything tho so for me it's worth the try. I was over due with my some by 5 days and my daughter a week. I was willing to try anything.

I think it's different for every person. I heard sone go into labor same day, I didn't go into labor till 2 days later

Worked for me. I went into labor right away and had my baby 5 hours later. I was 40+2 weeks.
