How much do you spend on books for your children for book orders and what not?...I allot $150-200 every year. I usually give books to my niece and daughter for Christmas so my scholastic book orders are at least $30.. I didn't have any book orders this year so I just attended an Usborne books fb party and spent $100. My husband thinks it's weird and a waste to buy print books but I still love to, especially for my daughter.

Check out thrift books they have an app.

We love books in this house and buy them all the time wherever we find them

Too much. The boys probably have close to 200 books.

I take my son to his school Scholastic book fairs, and we usually spend $50. I always get a book or two from his teacher’s wish list too. I love reading and want to encourage that in my son as well! We also use our local library.

I give $20 per book fair. But, we go to Barnes and Noble a lot and they always leave with books. Not to mention the nine lives book store where children's books are 10 cents each 😅

I like the Scholastic book orders because I think they’re cheaper than the book fair that comes to the school twice a year. We only get 1 or 2 from that.

that’s too much for me lol. I let him go crazy at thrift stores. So many books and super cheap. And since he goes to a public school he gets free books and access to the school library all the time. If he sees a book he wants to order through scholastic books I don’t mind but it’s rare since he’s constantly getting books.

We have a huge old book sale in our town every year and kids books are .25-$2 each, so I buy a lot then and I’ll buy the holiday books on clearance at wal mart, but mostly we just go to the library.

We spend a ton on books! I have a kindle paper white, but it’s still just not the same to me. Each of my kids has a book shelf in their room that is overflowing with books lol. We easily spend $50+ at every book fair (we have 3-5 each year between the kids schools and my school) plus I buy books on amazon often.

My kids get 20.00 a piece for their book fairs. Lol

But this year due to the pandemic and school being shut down; weekly the school would put out totes full of free books for the kids. We got a ton this year. 😂

That's awesome. We got a few free books and access to several reading apps for free but that reading apps aren't really the same

@massgirl I agree. I dont like the apps either, my kids also seem to prefer the books over the apps too.

I don't think I've spent $200 in their 4 years of life! I'm too cheap.

I'd rather a book than them reading a tablet any day. I'm old fashioned.

Exactly. We have had epic (reading app) since the pandemic but since she's still learning to read it's just another screen to look at. I can't bring myself to read on my tablet. It hurts my eyes too much

I don’t keep track, but a lot. I love books! I have a shelf full of books and my daughter has 30-40 books so far. She loves them. She’s constantly bringing us books to read to her.

My kids each get $20 per book fair. But honestly we are a library family. My girls read books and move on (but they are older so repetition isn’t really their thing anymore).

Oh gosh, way too much. At both of our book fairs I spent around $50-60 each time. I also order from teachers’ classroom scholastic flyers. They know to hit me up & put them in my mailbox lol. We have tons of books. I read on my iPad but I do buy print books or get some from the little community library boxes around town. I picked one up the other day & it is currently quarantining in my garage. 😂

Yes!!! I'm so bummed because I love scholastic for that reason! We get books at home and the teacher gets books for the classroom. I usually add cash to their accounts as a classroom Christmas gift.

Question: 16 year old dating an q8 year old? Thoughts??

Question: 16 year old dating an q8 year old? Thoughts?? My opinion is hell no. 16 year old is still a kid. Kids now a days want to be grown so bad and be in adult relationships and situations. I know when my daughters are 16 and they tell me they are dating an 18 year old. I will surely flip my lid.

Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
