you may need a looser crochet like double or like skip a crochet then crochet if that makes sense i used that for my son's blanket and it's really nice but you might want it more open not so closely crocheted if that makes sense. im sure u also don't want to start over lol

Yaaasss! This is the first and last one I ever crocheted and there are so many mess ups. But I LOVE the chunky blankets.
