I’ve been yelled at today by my friends of color because I haven’t shared or vocalized anything on my social media’s about George Floyd. I’m sorry? Just because I haven’t shared or written anything about it doesn’t mean I don’t agree and stand with you. I’m all for black lives matter because the treatment and oppression you face is truly unfair. But why am I being attacked for not sharing.

People get offended too easy. I've chosen not to take to social media as well because what gain does my social media voice have, NONE. What change will be effected by me sharing a post? What i can do to effect change is love those targeted by racism (not only black individuals) and teach my children and future generations to see value in every individual. I can pray for my fellow man. All these things don't need to be posted on social media. I don't need to post a picture of me with a black friend or family member to prove I'm not racist, and guess what neither do you.

I find your post here offensive, I don’t necessarily think you mean to be offensive but seem to be ignorant on social issues involving colour. You should never be categorizing your friends as by colour and white no matter what.

@family1stalways, sending you strength mama I cannot imagine raising my teenage son in the USA, not to say we don’t have racism here I am lucky to be raising my kids in one of the most racially diverse places in the world and I am still scared and seeing everything that’s going on is so disturbing.

@maddoxsmama look sweetheart...you cannot  call them "color". If you do they will no longer be your friends. Let me explain  why I am very offended. I was friends  with a couple. And they break up.  She was dating  black men gotten  pregnant.  Ex boyfriend  found  out about  it. He beat her until she had a miscarriage while he was beating  her he told her she will not have a color baby. Then told her she will never have a black  person baby!  Now he was all fine with a " color  woman" but not the men. 
And he never was locked up for it nor did he have any remorse because  it was just another  color  person.  So yes I am extremely  offended when I hear the work color.

And did you know ,when black people  where in school  there will be to sign  one for " white people" and another  for " Color people"

So if they really  are your friends  and your not the kind of person that just keep your color  friends  around  just so can say you have color friends.  Then please  do me a favor  leave them where they are. And don't  do that. We color don't  like that...

There is a concept from Martin Luther King Jr, he called it "the appaling silence of good people".

I think they are expressing deep hurt and need your support.

It is just my two cents, but I think our friends need to know we see what is going on, we care very deeply about it, and we support police and policy reform. They shouldn't live their lives in fear.

I totally understand. And any of them who actually talk to me in person will know I am talking about it and I Am standing with them. But I use my socials for posting things about my kids and that’s basically it 🤷🏼‍♀️

@maddoxsmama oh, gotcha. This is my only social media platform. I texted the hell out of friends and family members to show my support for some and to challenge others that are frankly racists to some degree or another. If they're close friends, I would just talk to them. It's a very raw time right now. I'm sure it hurt your feelings. That post that was done listing the 30+ names of black people who were killed just within recent memory yesterday really drove it home for me.
