@bookwormmommy, Michigan here. Ours usually bloom right after the lilacs, and it always used to be around Mother’s Day, but it’s been later the past few years because winter has lasted so long.

I love peonies, but I read they harbor ants, I hate ants more then I love peonies 😩

It’s true! They provide food for ants, and the ants help to protect the blooms from other insects.

I love peonies! I have a bush with white blooms. They don’t bloom until July here though!

Aww! You should post a picture when it blooms. They are my absolute favorite! All of ours bloom around late May/early June. I have about 8 in various colors all around my yard 😬.

I have a peony bush that has hot pink blooms. It’s so pretty! But they’re still buds right now. Patiently waiting for them to bloom! 🌺
