We are! We’re in a neighborhood about a mile off the road where it’s happening so we should be okay there’s no commercial area near us thankfully

Nothing. Nothing at all. Sadly bad people come in all sizes, shapes, and shades. Bad people will use any excuse to get away with their illegal activities meanwhile the ones who try to be good or become good get scorched in the heat. My husband and I were talking last night about this and he said he feels these situations have less to do with race and more to do with the "power" the police think they have because they are in uniform. I've seen this to be true where we live and in personal situations. Whether this opinion is right or wrong, no man or woman should lose their life at the hand s of someone who has sworn to serve and protect. I'm wholeheartedly sickened by this current situation. I worry it could happen to my husband or any number of people I care for. And for what? A power kick? DH has only one time been arrested and it was over a false accusation of wreckless driving. The officer handled him harshly and could have let it go but took him in instead and had his car towed even though it was on the same street as his work place. He had to pay all these fines and court fees just to have the judge say it should never have come before him and it was thrown out. But something as little as that has cost lives in some cases. My y father was in the uniform for more than 30 years. I was in the military. It is NOT supposed to be this way!!! I should be able to trust any officer I meet as should any one. But as much as I respect authority and the law I walk in fear sometimes bc of the narcissistic arrogance of many. The ones who are good still get sucked in and ruined over this and there are no words to describe the sad state we are in.
@xryztalroze I think it's about power and very much about race. These bullies with badges lord the power they think they have, the power they think the badge possesses over, often times, innocent black people. If it wasn't about race, black people wouldn't be murdered and continue to be murdered by cops all the time. It is about power, but it's about race too, if it was only power, then police brutality would negatively affect, and cause physical hurt to every race on the scale that it is happening to blacks.

I fully understand and agree with people standing up against this horrific situation and the protests but the ones who are looting and committing crimes should be ashamed. Using a poor man who lost his life as an excuse to run amuck is inexcusable.
Protests in Minneapolis. People taking advantage and rioting/looting in Minneapolis, Oakdale, Saint Paul, Roseville and Maplewood.
Burning businesses and Housing. It's insane out here. There are PEACEFUL protests going on at the same time. It's insane rn
Eta: National Guard has been called on by the governor.
