Anyone ever use moving companies to move to another state and recommendations?

We hired some movers off of uship. They loaded, drove and unloaded for one flat rate

How expensive was that?

@missheatherbaby, I think we ended up paying about 2500 from Virginia to Georgia. We got rid of a good amount of stuff ahead of our move but the prices I was getting from the large moving companies were at least double that.

When I moved to Florida with my ex husband we used a Penske truck. When I moved within Florida I rented a uhaul. When I from Florida to Massachusetts I used the ubox by uhaul and that was by far the easiest move ever

When I moved from Massachusetts to nyc I just used uhaul. I’m moving to Florida now and I’m basically starting over and buying all new furniture. However, I’m going to do the pods thing to move all the clothes, toys, bedding, decor, etc. you pack it and they ship it. It’s going to cost like $1600 for one pod from nyc to Florida. 😒

@earthymama, there is one called uhaul ubox and then one called PODS. I would compare quotes.
