My husbands step dad is dying of bone-marrow cancer and I’m so sad. Not just for him but for my MIL who’s flying in to hold him on his final day. He called her two days ago saying “this is it and I need you here”

Needless to say he’s on his deathbed and she’s flying in tomorrow. She said they tried to talk her into a DNR but she refused and told them to keep him comfortable and alive until she gets there. He’s holding on. I feel once she gets there, he will pass and he can rest peacefully.

I’m heartbroken in my own way.
