Opinions please!!!

My son sleeps in his crib in my room. He wakes up once or twice a night. I want to move him out of our room but we only have a two bedroom and he would have to share a room with my daughter, but my husband doesn’t think it’s a good idea to put him in her room until he sleeps all night without waking up.

I just moved my daughter into the room with my son. She sleeps sooo much better now. Doesn’t wake up looking for me. She used to wake up and need to be cuddled once or twice. She’s done a million times better being in the other room. She wakes up around 6:30, I nurse her then she sleeps a little longer but I don’t mind it since she goes to bed at 8/8:30. I think a trial run might be a good idea. I’m getting better sleep too which is helping me be a better mom. Good luck mama.

I definitely think he will do better as well! I’m going to tell my husband it needs to happen. I’m for sure going to do the trial run this week!! Thank you so much

The longer you wait the harder it will be for all of the family. Yes, sister may be disturbed a few times but she will learn to A. Sleep through, B. Go back to sleep and ignore him, or C. Help soothe him.

All three scenarios have happened from DD1, to DD2. We put the baby in her sister's room when she was only 10 months old. She actually slept better in there and rarely had a rough night. They are now two and four and they self soothe and help one another. The oldest can sleep through most anything so that helps and we don't go to them in the night unless it's a real need. If we here them cry a little we call out to reassure them we are still there and they are ok and they go back to sleep. If it gets worse we go in to lay with them. I'm sure they will be ok! Yes, it may take a little time but I promise it will quickly be better for everyone. Best of wishes!!!

Edit:

I just read the comments after answering. If he wakes for a bottle in the night that, to me, is one more reason to get him in his sister's room. I nursed my baby until 20 months. I once she went into her sister's room she dropped her night feeding and we all got better rest for it!

@xryztalroze, our daughter slept in our room until she was 2 when I found out I was pregnant with my son so we’ve only had the room to ourself for like 8 months lol it’s needed

@llcoolkay Unless DH is trying to prevent baby #3? Lol. J/K. But yes, I agree. Definitely time. We tend to worry too much about them being "ready" but I think it's more about us just not being ready. They will do great and you DH need to have alone time without having to worry. Sweet dreams!!!

@xryztalroze, lmao right? He’s actually ready for #3 and I know it’s me not being ready either. But I’m ready now

Maybe he will surprise you and sleep through the night once he isn't in your room. I say try it for a night if possible! Good luck!!

Do you get up to put him back down or does he put himself to sleep? Is your daughter a light sleeper or can she sleep through him?

I have to get up and put him back down. He still wants a bottle sometimes to go back to sleep

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Got home around 11... washed lil man up and made him a bottle... asked my husband to get off his phone and help me put him to sleep... as soon as I did, my husband sat on the couch and fell right to sleep with Zach in his arms... I walked over to him and picked Zach up and he has to nerve to jump awake talking about I scared him because he thought he dropped Zach... this is why I’ve stopped asking him to hold him... he is irresponsible... I ended up setting up Zach’s stand up floor lamp, rearranging his room, making him a late night/early morning bottle, rocking him to sleep in his car seat and then moving him to his room all while my husband was knocked out in the living room.... I swear I feel like a single mother

Have any other mommies experienced this???? My son is 6 months and has just recently stared to wake up like a newborn again. He goes to bed late and then wakes up every hour or so crying. Sometimes he will go back to sleep with his pacifier but other times I have to get up and make him a bottle and then rock him...he used to sleep through the night 😩 what is this....?

My boyfriend hasn’t changed ONE diaper ever and my son is 9 months old. He hasn’t fed him in about 5 months, he doesn’t bath him and hes never been left alone with him and he doesn’t even wake up during the night to help with him. He MAYBE washes the bottles at night if it’s a good day and I’m confused as to how bc I’m a woman IM supposed to do all that by myself?? lmfao ya no.
