Exactly. Not taking into account how much the cost of living varies is another huge problem with this. $1200/pp may go a long way somewhere that’s cheap, like the south. It’s not gonna go so far in the Northeast, major coastal cities, or Alaska & Hawaii.

It’s kind of a joke, tbh. They throw $1,200 at us to placate us for a while instead of passing relief that will truly help Americans.

I thought it was already passed last night? Either way $1200 is a joke. They cap it off at $6k for families. $6k is our monthly expenses in a CHEAP area of Connecticut. Then with the extension of the unemployment some people will be less motivated to go back to work which doesn't help the economy. Some that are able to and entitled to unemployment are making more money sitting at home so why would they be motivated to make a change...in my opinion they didn't give enough time for the CARE Act to work.
