Anyone have more kids than they originally planned but it turned out to be the best thing & better than you imagined?

My partner and I talked about having kids right from the start of our relationship. We were young and setting our life goals so we agreed on 2.
I thought two would be perfect and I even lucked out and we had a girl and a boy. My partner was happy with our family but I still felt kind of "empty".
I told him I loved our little family but I feel like theres still a piece missing and we discussed having a third.
He wasnt really thrilled with the idea at first but after listening to my side and how I felt about it he agreed.
I'm due next month and he's so excited now.
Three will be interesting but I already feel so full and can't wait to meet our last son 😊

I never thought I'd have more than 3 but here I am with 5 and I'm thankful for all of them. People call me crazy but I couldn't imagine my life without them. ❤️

@xoamac, Me! When I was in highschool I didn’t want to have any! I had so many dreams that I didn’t think I could give myself whole heartedly to being a momma and a profession. But, we ended getting pregnant at 18 and I still was able to complete all of the dreams/achievements I set out for myself. Now I’m a mommy to 6 wonderful kids, and a College Graduate with 3 degrees! I’m so thankful that I was chosen to be their mommy!

@xoamac, Yeah my husband can sometimes work out of state and sometimes out of the country. That was a bit touch and go for a bit.
Does your school have a preschool on campus? That helped when I was going to school too, to be able to take some of the kids with me and drop them off at preschool.

@xoamac, It definitely helped and the kids loved it. I would look into student resources on your campus because that’s how I found out about the adjunct preschool mine had.

This makes me sad. I always thought I would have more than one, but here I am, middle aged with only one sweet boy. I’m so glad I have him, but I always feel wistful when I see women that get to have more than one.

@scruffy.nerf.herder, Awh this made me sad!!! 🥺 You are an awesome mama to an amazing 8yr old!!!

Side note: You never know he may give you lots of grandbabies 😄

I’m actually a bit scared of this myself! I can only imagine if my kids each have as many as we do! I will literally will have 36 grandkids lol 😱😂

@ourfamilyof8, my husband is an only child, and now my son is too. My son talks about wanting to get married and have kids when he’s a grown up, so maybe I will have some grand babies to dote on. I will definitely be old by that point!

I only planned on two, and when my girls were 10 and 8, I got pregnant with my son. I cried for a week because I had finally gotten to the point that I was finding myself again outside of just being “mom”. But this little guy is one of the best things to ever happen to me and I couldn’t imagine my life without him in it.

When I was younger I always imagined 3. After having 1 me and my husband decided no more 1 was enough. Now I have #3 in the works due to birth control failing with my 2nd and 3rd. I couldn't imagine my life without my 2nd hes exactly what I needed and I'm sure I feel the same way about the 3rd
