My son has no interest in walking. He can walk along the couch and he can stand on his own for a while, but every time we try to get him to walk he just falls forward our backward because he thinks it’s funny.

My son was the same, I honestly think he was more scared then anything he didn’t take his first steps until 14 months and really walking by 16
Kayla ··
My son will literally throw his head back and his arms up and fall backwards and laugh lol so I think it’ll be a while until he walks

They say that those who walk after a year tend to be smarter academically. I bet you’ve gotten an future honor roll student on your hands!
Kayla ··
Well I sure hope so lol
Liix·
My 1 year old only crawls or walks with her knees
Kayla ··
Mine crawls on his hands and feet a lot. So I think he might try to walk soon
Liix··
She took long to crawl until 8 months. Maybe she is going to take a little long 😁
Kayla ··
my son didn’t crawl until about 8 months either

My son is the same way but mine because he was a premie. Here an there he takes a few steps but won’t keep doing it
Kayla ··
Mine won’t even take steps lol
Kayla ·
My son was the same way he use to like run with his walker but would only take a few steps on his own so I ended up taking his push walker and one night he just let go of the couch and was full on walking without even falling down ect. It’s okay he’s not walking on his own just praise him. Maybe have you and your husband get him to walk back and forth to each other with his favorite snack or something and lots of claps and yays after
Kayla ··
I’ve been trying. He has a push walker but we have wood floors and it goes so fast lol
Kayla ··
haha that’s how my floors are to. Drs aren’t concerned though unless they aren’t waking at all by 18 months I believe it is
Kayla ··
yeah I’m pretty sure that’s what his told me at his one year appt

My son is the same way. Hes just now starting to walk a little on his own. He rather crawl . But we try and have him hold onto one hand and walk with him. Hes realized when he walks on his own he praise him and get excited and he LOVES it so he tries to do more lol
Kayla ··
Yeah we definitely praise him but he would just rather crawl lol. He thinks it’s absolutely hilarious to just fall back lol
Jessie Lauvray··
lmao that's cute. Ours still chooses crawling over walking too. Hes not much of a fan of it. Lol
Kayla ··
@kason.dillons.mamma, it’s so funny. I guess he’s just so used to crawling lol
