Ever since Mother’s Day night my son is petrified. Of what? Idk. He points to the wall, the bed , the floor , says it’s ew and is petrified of it once the lights go off . I wanna think that it’s just him playing me but he’ll shake and scream bloody murder . And won’t go to bed unless he’s on me or his dad . I’m tired , and so is he . Anyone have anything happen like this ? I’m at a loss 😭

Yes. My little one was about the same age and kept crying over a "fly". She would scream and tell me there was a "fly" in her room. Well, that "fly" turned out to be a monster sized, burn the house down, spider. Even I was scared to go in her room for awhile after that.

@briannalynn547 It could just be they he is coming into his imagination. At that age they can imagine a lot of things that they don't have the ability to explain or understand... Just keep being patient and making sure he knows it is a safe and happy place just for him. It will pass. I remember now that I think about it that the same daughter who saw the spider went through a time like this.

Yes. It's not that they feel unsafe in a logical way. It's a normal childhood development milestone. If you are close to your parents ask them and I bet if they can remember you did the same thing at some point. It should pass with gentl reassurance in a few days to a few weeks. I remember she needed us to be in the room during they time frame to fall asleep and for her it was only around bed time/nightfall, but then the spider did happen around the same time. Even now she will sometimes work herself up to really believing something is in her room and cry. Imagination is powerful. That's why we have such a moment Anker movie industry. Think Monster's Inc. Silly wonderful movie but all because children truly do believe there are monsters lurking everywhere. If you think there is more to it contact your ped and ask them if they feel reason to be concerned or to have him checked out.
