At least during lockdown everything has been consistent. Now with all the uncertainty again my anxiety is going awoll. Back to school or not. Back to work or not. Keep my family safe but need to pay bills to keep our home. Have emailed the school & my bosses expressing my worries waffling on for al the good that will do 🤦‍♀️ Anyways today is not a school day in this house. We're having a random Wednesday inset day 😂 I hope you are all doing ok?

Hey, I'm feeling exactly the same. As a teacher I have to go back to work full time from Monday. I'm stressing because I have no childcare . My mother in law normally has Eddie. But she is in the vulnerable group. I'm so worried about going back into a school with lots of children and parents, without any protection. I've not stopped worrying. X

I work in a Nursery/ pre-school which will open 1st June but they've said be expected back week before to do a big clean (which we did over 2days before lockdown) & to prepare the nursery for reopening. They've also said because the age it's low risk so no ppe. Which is silly really because we'll be coming into contact with parents & carers during drop off & pick up who could have been anywhere we don't know 🤷‍♀️ we have babies from 3months to children 5yrs who are often literally handed over. You can't implement a 2metre rule with parents let alone the children.

The school have said I don't have to send Morgan back. It is my choice. But if I'm back at work then he has to go back as my husband can't work & have both of the boys. Just like before I'm having some parents saying I should just keep them at home. Well ok then I don't get paid & can't pay our bills... Hate it.

yes, we're exactly the same, my school also has a nursey to it and there's no way we'll be able to social distance the nursery and Reception children. There is absolutely no talk of protection for us staff, we just have to accept that we're exposing ourselves to the virus with both children and parents. Taking into consideration all of nursery, reception, year 1 and 6 in school and splitting them into classes of no more than 15, our school will be full. Never mind having the rest of the school back a few weeks later.

My choice now, is to either put my foot down and say j cant go into work because I have no childcare. Or enrol him in a nursery last minute, which is something we just can not afford, as like you we'd be unable to then pay bills. 😢

I just feel we're going backwards. This is the exact situation we were all in before lockdown. Government saying stay home if possible. But work if you can. Go back to school but keep distance. No socialising, no family. I know many key workers have been working this entire time. Half of me is depeserate to get back. I'm just not sure how dangerous it actually is 🤷‍♀️ Seeing the pics of the children in schools in France being kept seperate didnt help either. The school aren't sure how they'll be dealing with it all yet.
