Calvin does although it's not that obvious sometimes because he only uses 1 word phases, his voice is worse if he's aspirated on liquids recently, he was due some more investigations but they've had to be put on hold for a bit
@sarah-bradshaw charlie had alot of issues early on.. choking, going blue, aspirating.. he would choke on most foods.. so i kept to purees and introduced food v slowly.
Up until he was two i chopped foods up into tiny pieces and it did slowly get better
We had a barium swallow and the scope while asleep... its so so quick and will get a pictire of the whole larynx and even the bronchial tubes.
Any questions ask me.. because it was so hard and i researched like mad and saw alot of specialists so can answer most things! X
@laurabump27 thank you, we had a barium swallow which showed he aspirated up to level 3 liquids, at that point he wasn't having any foods, we're just struggling to get him to eat more foods x
@sarah-bradshaw awww.. its hard but it will get easier.
Take it slow.. no rush.. things he can cope with make very small.
If hes not ready just purees for now are fine.
It will improve with age... even if it takes a little longer.
Charlie would choke on alot of foods and built up abit of a fear so domt worry about what hes eating just yet x
