Super sad tonight. This is the view from the parking lot of the church I grew up in (from 6-18 yrs old). 😥
So many memories and friends were made here. And so many childhood friends live nearby. Hoping they get it under control and that everyone stays safe.

@mommaofjais Oh good! So this was not the actual building, just the area? Smoke damage isn't good but far less expensive than rebuilding from scratch.
@xryztalroze, That’s part of the church in the picture but the fire didn’t actually reach the building. The firefighters did a tremendous job at keeping it controlled. The wind was so bad, too. So, it’s really amazing that it didn’t touch any of the structures.
Are you safe tho? Building yes sad when they burn down but can be rebuilt your life can’t pleas stay safe
Yes, we’re okay here. We aren’t close enough to it. It’s just really sad to see. 😕

Wow! God is good! The Lord's hedge of protection was on that property!!! And such a good job by the fire crew. Amazing!!!
