One tired Mummy. If you make it to the end well done 👏👏👏
I know it probably happens in most households, if not all. But why oh why does bedtime have to be such a battle.....???
In the movies the children are always snuggled up tentitively listening to their parents read them a story then snuggles with 'Love you loads, I love you to the moon & back'.
No. In our house it starts from when I ask them to tidy up. Suddenly all the energy they previously had running around causing riot has gone & now their so tired they can't move a muscle. Getting them changed because otherwise they take a CENTURY putting their PJ's on. Whinging why do they have to brush their teeth!? They brushed them already today!
Dragging them up the stairs like their being tortured. But we're not tired!!! (Oh funny you were 20mins ago when it was tidy up time 🤔). Trying to read 1 story to 1 child (other doesn't like this story). Whilst the other plays about being noisy moaning they couldn't pick a story 1st. Then attempting a 2nd story but then the other interupting/ being noisy. Then stupidly trying to read a 3rd, of my choosing this time which neither of them listen to as their throwing teddies at each other & fighting over who has what teddy 🤦♀️ After attempting kisses & snuggles & being told no go away (so they can talk & mess about not go to sleep). I slink away thinking YES a cuppa tea in peace... I get downstairs.

'Mummy I'm cold I want socks on. Can you put them on I can't do it?'.
'Mummy I'm hot I don't want my duvet can I have my blanket instead?'

'Mummy I want a kiss & cuddle, you didn't give me a goodnight cuddle!'.
So start the toilet breaks & wiping bums because I can't say no can I?? They'll pee the bed then it'll be my fault for not letting them go even though I asked several times if they need a wee go now! I spend the next part like a yo-yo between downstairs, upstairs & bathroom until I finally hear that blissful sound of silence because their FINALLY asleep. After my cuppa in peace & hubby distracted on his Switch I go back up & check on them. Sound asleep. My angels. Love them to the moon & back. Little brats!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It can be a nightmare!! I have to remind myself multiple times a day that I know I’ll look back and miss these times! Pains in the ass but really wouldn’t have it any other way❤️❤️

Exactly. We have the rare night their really cute & sweet. I know they think their missing out on something. Funny kids hate naps & sleep but it's all we want aa adults!

It's the up and down the stairs that drives you insane isn't it. I always say i don't know how I'm not a size 8 I spend that much of my night going back and forth

@sara-lou86, I do tha! Ashton goes in his cot at 7 and Mckenzie goes in my bed and I get him to sleep and then once he’s asleep put him in his bed and he’ll sleep all night! Only way I can do it or Mckenzie will keep Ashton up and then Ashton just gets super cranky when tired so easier the way I just do it x
