It’s pretty much like a shoe string and they insert it in your cervix . After it’s interested you have to wait 1 or 2 hours before I can move pee eat or drink. I forget of it one or 2 hours . After 7 hours they remove it or if it falls out on it own
of course your in the hospital the whole time . Mine fall out after being in for 3 hours I was dilating fast . But the cervidal was also making me vomit
They insert into your cervix. It can stay in for up to 12 hours! With my first it didn’t do crap I had it put in at 8 pm and I ended up needing pitocin the next morning to move things a long didn’t end up having him until 7:33 pm that night. With my second it dilated me very quickly I had it put in at 5pm and I woke up at 3 am literally in the middle of labor my water broke five minutes after I woke up lol didn’t even have enough time for epidural to kick in 😬

My second, girllll that sh*t was in for an hour and a half and they had to take it out because my contractions got so intense and to close together but I didn’t end up needing pitocin so it was worth it! The part that sucks the most is you can’t move or anything once it’s in for 2 hours
