Many years ago on my cross country trip from Oregon to North Carolina I met a stellar man on the Greyhound in Salt Lake City Utah. He was in need of a pair of headphones and I happen to have an extra set. We traded cigarettes and stories, as well as an exchange in numbers. He was on his way from Washington to South Carolina. We stayed in contact, for about a year, like any happy hippies would when making such a good connection with another traveler.
One a journey of Self Discovery, I left NC, in route south, with the intentions of heading back across the map. He was my first stop on this mission, and was also my last.
Fast forward through the ups and the downs, and through countless dimensions, we became a family. One that is still growing. He was (and still is) the most difficult, most head-strong person I had ever come across. It was impossible not to fall in love with every fiber of his being.
There are no words to describe my appreciation and love for this man.
I am always sure to tell him - "Thank you for you and all that you do!" There is no other person I would care to live in such a world with.
(One of our earlier pictures, but not from our earliest point of being one together)
