My friend just had a really bad first labor, 24 hours, two epidurals which ended in a c section.
This makes me wonder, if my first labor was super fast...will my second be even easier?
Oh dang. I might have to brace myself lol
@massgirl, I had zero contractions though even 1-2 hours after my water broke
I told my doctor this time if my water breaks or if I start contractions I want to labor at home a bit before going but I’m like crap what if it’s super fast 😅 I just want to avoid meds if I can and decide later if I’m not progressing on my own
Idk about easier but it will probably be faster! My first labor was 9 hours start to end induced (7 hours from time water was broken by doc) and my second labor was 5 hours start to finish (2.5 hours from time water was broken by doc). If I have a 3rd and my water breaks at home I’m probably giving birth in a bathtub or the car 😂
My labor was over two days two epidurals and luckily didn’t end in a swxntion
I was induced with my first a week overdue. He came super fast 4 hour labor, no epidural. Second came natural 4 days overdue. I assumed the pain would increase and I ended up delivering at home, 6 hour labor. I was laying in bed and the hospital didn’t have a room for me. If I would’ve gone to the hospital when I wanted too I think I would’ve been able to push right away.
man my first was wayyyyy longer i was terrified to have more kids thus #2 didn't come for 13 years lol
If she started not dilated at all and was induced that makes a BIG difference. My sister was induced and had a labor like your friends'. I was like you. Already dilated to 5 cm when I was admitted at 4 pm and had my daughter at 9 pm
I was just going to say this . I started not dilated at all , was induced and was in labor for two full days .
I was at a 1 when I got there but thin apparently but her I don’t think at all she had a scheduled induction at 39 weeks which was weird to me but I guess health concerns
I was worried about the absolute same thing! My first labor was so fast and easy I was so scared with my second she would be difficult because my first wasn’t. She honestly was even faster than my son
@amandamduval, at 38 weeks.
My friend was induced yesterday morning and barely had her baby i was reading her updates like wow
@amandamduval, they say your second usually comes faster because your body has had the practice. Every birth is different, but hopefully yours is just as smooth sailing as your first 🤞🏽
Sounds like she was eager to be out!
@whtumean, I hope so too
This pregnancy already has me tired and I’m not even showing yet
Just so sick
Is any other first time mommies scared of labor?
This will be my first induction, to the mommas who've been induced how was your experience? Was it easy, was it a long labor or was it quick? Etc.
Should I let my x know when labor starts
Longest you been in labor
Me: 5 with my first
15:42 hours with my second

Lol oh wow! Look at the difference between my first and second pregnancy labor ?
My first was 7 hours from when I noticed contractions to birth and my second...hold on to your hat... was 30 MINUTES. Thankfully our hospital is 10 mins away, but it was close.
