Does anyone know if I would be considered high risk in my next pregnancy? Currently ttc
Anyway with my daughter I had a short cervix that was discovered at the anatomy scan. It wasn't closely monitored due to lack of communication. When it was discovered I was given the steroid shot to help baby's lungs and then put on bed rest...but this was at 32-34ish( I can't remember exactly). I "walked" around at 4 cms for a few more weeks until I made it to 38 weeks and got a UTI. They decided to induce when I was in the hospital treating that.
So anyway. I moved after my divorce and need to find a new ob/gyn...when I do get pregnant ( I might be) do I let them know I might be high risk when I book my first appointment? Am I even considered high risk due to my previous history? I think I am but idk if that fact that I did deliver at 38 weeks makes a difference

@massgirl, Definitely let them know your concerns then and that you would really prefer to take extra precautions including being considered high risk. Best wishes for another wee one!

You tell them and let them make the determination of high risk or not I believe. I thought being 36, 37 when I deliver would make me high risk automatically but beyond acknowledging it when I meantioned my age my ob has never said anything about elevated risk
See that freaks me out. Honestly I would have had a PTB if I was active like I am now but at the time I was going through a divorce so I would just go to work( less than twenty hours a week) and go straight home. I hope I would be considered high risk if I end up with a short cervix again

I would mention it to the doctor. I feel like this is something they would want to monitor but I can’t speak from experience.
