I wanted to share with y’all something my son said. I know we are all going through a lot of emotions due to the virus. As mothers we do our best to not allow our kids to see just how bad things are right now. We put on a brave face and continue on for them. With so much negativity in this world right now sometimes it seems like there isn’t any light coming our way. Sitting at home has made me really realize how blessed we are. I took a lot of things for granted. Things like going to the store and walking around without fear. My kids and I have been home for over 14 days. I’m doing the best I can to make everything seem normal. I don’t want my kids to know just how bad the outside world has gotten. Anyways yesterday my kids were playing. My son has a step stool and him and his sister were taking turns jumping off the top step. My son says to his sister “sissy isn’t this the best day of your life ?! We can fly sissy, it’s the best day of my life”. Oh man 😭 my son had the best day of his life while being at home, in the comfort and safety of his home. I know it may be hard for some to be home, I know a lot of things planned have had to be postponed. Let us all take this time to be thankful. We are alive. We are going to get through this. Make today the best day of your life.

We aren’t promised tomorrow. Being sheltered in has really made us slow down and we can either be irritated with our situation and in turn with the people we love most or we can try to find the good in it and cherish this forced time of slowing down with our families. You’re right, it’s so easy now to see the simple things we take for granted on a daily basis.. and even still, we have SO MUCH.

We had day full of chores( as usual) and finished the night with a bike ride before bed time routine. I said just this same thing to my husband. I told him today was a great day and one of my favorite new memories. I said that the "pandemic 2020" would hold some of my best memories ever and that I hope I never forget them. My husband and I have been home at the same time for an entire week for the first time without one of us, or both of us being sick. Usually he is working on my days off and if he is home he is ill and I'm working on his days off. Not easy being a flight attendant and I'm sad to be out of work right now, but heck! I'm not complaining at all about the amazing amount of time I now have to just be mom! I'm indulging in sleep and cuddles. Have a blessed night mama and thank you for sharing! Keep enjoying your "best days ever"!!!!
