I’m 24 years old, I’m married and got married at 19! I have 2 children a daughter whose 3 years old about to be 4 in May, A son whose 9 months going to be 1 years old in June. I’m now pregnant with my 3rd baby whose going to be a boy and is due in July! It’s not easy being a young married individual with two kids but we make it work my husband and I. We are not where we should be or where we want to be but God is preparing his plans and his plans are coming together for us slowly but surly. No one is perfect, no marriage is easy, no parents are perfect, we teach and raise our kids differently, our marriages are all different. It’s also not easy being a STAHM. But having a strong support system is great to have but unfortunately I don’t have a strong support system I just have myself, my husband and kids. Every now and again my husband parents get the kids, mainly when I drop them off over there out the blue. My dad don’t get my kids other than my daughter and he don’t get my son because well he cry’s too much but like I’m explaining to both sides to the in laws and my dad is that our son wouldn’t cry so much if y’all would just be around and get him more. My mom doesn’t even get our kids but always wants to say her “big man or big girl” yet you always get your favorite grandson which is my brothers kid my nephew. My parents are divorced and I love ALL my family, however I’m not mad that both sides don’t really get the kids because it is what it is. These kids will grow up and someday ask for themselves why nobody really gets them and all I’m going to say to my children is to pray about whatever it is they are feeling because that is what I do. I’m going to teach them to pray no matter what. Pray over the good.. bad.. positive...negative pray over it all. I’m also going to teach them to love the skin they are in because they are biracial and the whites are only going to see the black and the black is only going to see the white ( racism is what is taught) these kids don’t know color but they do know what is taught. My children are my everything. I love everyone and accept people. That’s what I want my kids to see. No matter what gets thrown at them I want them to know GOD is by their side and GOD will handle all those racism and mean people. But I want my kids to pray over them and be as kind and as generous as they can be. I want them to know they have a mommy and a daddy whose always there for and with them regardless of what any situations they get themselves in too. We are a family and family is all that we have. Life goes on and we get older not younger. We need to love and protect our babies as long as possible and spend as much time with them as possible. Teach them, help them to grow into something beautiful and watch God worm in your children’s life, your marriage, your family. Just keep God first. another thing all you single moms keep up your hard work. Y’all are very blessed and y’all are beautiful!
