I'm planning on doing home schooling with Faye, I'm ordering some books and learning packs. I'm just not sure how this is gonna work she hardly sits still and needs to be up all of the time. Since not being at nursery she wants attention every single second, also she wants my partners attention 24/7 she just wants to play all day long. I can't get her to sit and eat much. When he isn't here she's a bit more chilled but when he's here she's constantly all over. (Atm he's staying since I'm not very well) I'm not sure how I'm gonna be able to get her to sit down and focus. She gets up at 7am and she might sit done one or twice a day for all of five mins. I have some health issues like endometriosis which is quite bad recently and hormonal migraines which are becoming more frequent. Also I'm under alot of stress worrying about my mam who hasn't left her room since December (her partner passed), I literally can not give her attention all day long I'm finding it so hard to try and find stuff to entertain her all day. She plays with stuff here and there she doesn't play with much for long. Is anyone elses children like this? And if so and you are doing home schooling how do you get them to focus?
Following. My sons the same, we're up around 6 every morning and he doesn't stop. He needs to be played with constantly. We got the paints out yesterday, he paints for maybe 15 minutes and gets bored. We make cakes and he kicks off that they're in the oven for ten minutes to cook before he can ice them. I thought of getting some basic phonics books with the letter tracing in them but even getting him to write his name in a card is a struggle as his attention span is so short. You're definitely not alone x
Faye's the same with paints and colouring. Its like all day long and with all what's going on I can't take her anywhere. Even playing in the garden she's out for 5 mins then wants to go somewhere else or play something else. She's got a bedroom packed with toys but shows hardly any interest. That's what I was thinking with the books xx
Take each day as it comes! Don’t be strict on yourself to do certain tasks 😊 She’s only young! Even 10 mins is fine! You can gradually build up the time and what you do :) did 20 mins of phonics with Maya this morning and that’s all we have done lol 😆
That's true, yea I'm gonna do about 10/20 mins each day see how things go. Yea I suppose so, just feels like every day she's bored doesn't matter what we do. Xx
Some are more strict on routine and some basically follow the child’s interests and attention to things! It’s totally up to you how you do things hun x x
My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. My baby girl does not let me do anything all day 😭 I'm lucky if everything is done before my s.o gets home , she cried so I pick her up to feed her and change her diaper and once she's on my breast she eats and I burp her put her down and she'll cry I get her again and she's on my breast not even latched on just smelling my boobs 😭 I'm like girl really lmao she wants me to carry her or be with her all day , girl I wish I could lmao
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
33 weeks 4 days today !! Had my appointment today for biophysical profile, and growth scan. At 28 weeks, she was in the 31 percentile, weighing 2 pounds and 1 ounce. Now she is in the 17th percentile, weighing 3 pounds and 1 ounce. I don't understand what I'm doing so wrong. 😢 my doctor will make me deliver if it drops to 10 or less, as she would be better out than in. Im 33 weeks 4 days, but my uterus is only measuring 31 weeks. Her heart rate was 132 today, her reflexes were great, she's a mover, her breathing movements were good, she had a few in a 30 minute period, they like to see atleast one in that timeframe. Also, my fluid level was at a 17, 10 to 25 is normal and she is head down in the birthing position. When we first started, she wasn't moving at all because she is stubborn like that, I swear she knows when she is getting an ultrasound and absolutely hates it. So the tech gave me two soft peppermints to get her to move , sure enough about 15 minutes later she was all over the place, first things first, her hands playing with her feet in front of her face just like last time. Lol she is something else, she must've liked the taste of the peppermint because not only did it get her to moving, but we could see her doing sucking motions with her mouth and sticking her tongue out. I love my silly girl, I actually have an ultrasound picture of that moment that I'm gonna share! My appointments are weekly now and im being monitored closely. I'm not sure what she scored on her BPP today, because my doctor was tied up with a delivery, so we will go over everything next Thursday following next weeks ultrasound as well as this one. I've been so down all day today.. sigh...

Also remember a lot is learnt through games and play ❤️ she doesn’t have to be sitting down still to do things 😊
You can do drawing, art etc! Singing! There’s a few phonics songs! Xx
