I've never used shampoo on my last 3 kids. I wait to wash their hair last. There is soap residue in the water still so I just rinse. When they get much older and longer hair that's hard to manage I use a mild conditioner.

But whatever shampoo you use make sure its safe for baby. Baby shea moisture, burt's bees..
