We're a newer generation so when the flu was first introduced we weren't those ppl who first experienced and grew immune to the virus but with time and after many ppl "died" from it as well, we learned and created antibodies to fight it. With the coronavirus, it's a virus it's not curable it can only be managed by letting it run its course just like the flu, but unlike the flu, if you look at the statistics it hasn't killed nearly as many ppl as the flu has yearly. Elderly ppl are most affected because of their immune systems. But if you sanitize and keep your distance you'll be okay, however it doesn't mean your immune to not catching it. But it could be preventable just like the flu is. Unlike the flu so far the coronavirus has only affected elderly and already sick ppl, and many have gotten the virus and showed no symptoms. And many have healed from it too. The world isnt ending it was just introduced to a new virus (pandemic) so with time they'll learn the right way to handle this virus and not freak out. At the end of the day everything is controlled by a person, who may be easily scared which can affect many things, like shutting down a business or making fake news because that's what they believe. Pretty much the flu is deadlier than the coronavirus but because its "NEW" everyone is freaking out.
