Those on anxiety meds - what do you take?
I’ve taken sertraline for as long as I’ve been on meds. Currently taking 100mg but i have breakthrough anxiety/panic attacks. Wondering if it would be more effective to switch meds all together since i have been increasing my dose every few months.
I would opt for sublingual cbd oil the kind you do under your tongue instead. A lot of anxiety meds have too many side effects that effect your brain later on in life etc etc. if you choose to try the cbd i recommenced Swiss relief they have a double 0 guarantee of no thc whatsoever in their products so you won’t get in trouble if your job drug tests. I’m currently taking their 500mg strength in the berry flavor. They have higher strengths but the 500 works for me and I don’t even have to take it everyday which is great because I have bad anxiety but not too keen on taking something every day
Do you just take it as needed? Or does it work for a period of time?
@kellynicole, yes. I do have patients that take it everyday though. I usually tell people to take it consistently for the first week and then adjust your regimen as needed
Lexapro is what I'm on. It's new-ish for me and it's been....ok.
I’m on buspirone. I was on sertraline for a while but didn’t like it. The buspirone has helped lower my anxiety level from near paranoia to just plain anxiety but it’s still there. It also seems to decrease how often I have panic attacks but I still have them unfortunately.
I was taking Xanax and lorazepam but without realizing it I started taking too much and had to suffer bigger side effects than I had before. Wouldn’t do it again lol but a lot of times I can deal well with just breathing and relaxing techniques
I take effexor daily and Klonopin as needed. I've switched so many times and now the effexor since my dose change has been a life saver.
Yeah I’m not sure if i wanna switch meds or just add an “as needed” Med
@kellynicole adding an as needed med helped a lot since it was leaving the house that made the anxiety unbearable.
I had EVERY side effect possible when we tried Celexa. I had heard SUCH great things about it but it was AWFUL for me. Did you experience any at first? My doc said the weird, uncomfortable stuff/feelings would go away after it was in my system better. They only got worse though. I gave it 3 and a half months and couldn't take it anymore.
@leonardsquared I never had any side effects beyond weight gain and I've been on it for almost three years. But I am only on 10 mg. I used to take an ass needed as well (can't remember which one) but once I went to counseling my severe anxiety that caused panic attacks subsided
Sertraline curbed my attacks but I can’t take it anymore for various reasons. I take klonapin now as needed.
Sertraline is good for my day to day management but when i have an attack it’s bad
Can I hear anyone’s experience with Zoloft? My doctor just prescribed me Zoloft to deal with my anxiety. I’m very nervous to be on meds, I’ve never been on any type of meds like this.
about to start using young living oils for my anxiety. I usually take meds but can't bc I'm pregnant. I've become mean. anyone else have anxiety?
Well I was prescribed a small dose of Xanax and Paxil for my anxiety. I don’t even want to take meds unless I know it will help me 😩 does anyone take these and does it help??
Do any of you mommas have hypothyroidism? I have it, but have been on medicine for years and my levels are always good when they check at the dr. But jw if anybody else has to take meds for it through pregnancy?
I was on 100mg of zoloft for over a year. It helped me out so much... but the weight gain was terrible so I stopped it I was on xanax as needed but now on clonazepam as needed. I got switched fo effexor, but since my blood pressure is already an issue the medication was making it worst. So I had to stop that. Now I'm on nothing atm since I moved states and no insurance. Hoping to get on something soon.
