You can buy a gun safe we have one we keep it in our closet up top where only we can reach and there is a lock you can put on the gun so it won’t go off

In the closet inside a safe is probably the best place to keep it at.🙂 I personally feel safer knowing my husband has one and has previous military training so he knows how to use it if necessary.

Yes! I bought a stand up gun safe that has a key and a code for emergency situations! Its in our closet and our closet has a lock on it that stays locked during the daytime! Always safe! I plan on putting it in the actual wall and hiding it behind a hinged mirror but for the time-being thats what we have for now.

We have a case for ours and they are in our dresser draws. We have taught our boys they are not toys and never to touch them.

We have guns. They are always locked away. No one besides my husband and I have access to the key and we never store ammo with the guns.

We have a lot of guns in the house. All of our rifles are locked in a safe in the closet. We also have a pistol in each nightstand with a key code. I have one in my purse at all times. Now we talk about the guns a lot with our children and they are very aware they dont touch the gun unless we are shooting their guns (they both have a pellet gun, and my oldest has a rifle)

We are purchasing a hideaway lamp that opens with an rfid chip. Keeping a gun inside a safe with no ammo, and you might as well not even own it. If it's for protection, you need to be able to wield it at a moment's notice. My husband owns a holster that locks his .40 in place and covers the trigger. It takes 2 adult hands to open it. Mine is going to be stored in the lamp with an rfid chip. Mine is currently locked in a gun case but my husbands is mounted to the side of the bed. Both have full magazines in them but are not racked. Use your judgement and really research different options. I've had to protect myself with my 9mm before when someone was trying to break into our house

I would just say in a high place they cant get to. The thing about lock boxes is if someone breaks in you dont have that time to get to it when you need it. In a in your face situation it's too late by the time you get it unlocked.
