Do you and your partner split “baby duties” during the day? (Like feeding baby, playing with baby, napping, changing diaper, etc) while Mommy gets to clean the house, cook, shower, laundry, fold clothes etc.
When we’re both home with the baby, yes absolutely. We take turns with cooking and cleaning as well.
Being a new mom is hard. You’re just trying to figure out what your new life is going to look like. For me I had to tell my husband exactly what I needed him to do. He didn’t realize I was drowning.
Yep when hes home for 2 weeks we take turns entertaining our 2yo and taking care of our 2 month old.
We do what we have to, there is no list. Just do it as needed. We share the responsibilities. But my kid is not a baby lol. I see you meant infant duties lol. I did that myself because at the time, I was a single parent.
Usually my dh works during the day but when he’s home he’s on daddy duty. He doesn’t miss a beat taking care of the kids. He will play while I make dinner. Or he will make dinner while I play.
No. He has always gone to work and I stay home with the kids and do everything you just listed by myself. But when he does get home he does help. But it's late and everythings pretty much done so I just like him to spend some time with the kids before bed.
@beezmommy, @mikecoochie, I guess I’m not the only one. How do you guys manage it? I’m a new mom and it ain’t easy...
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
I’m a sahm & he works around 80hrs a week (mon-fri)...but on the weekends...he takes over everything. He doesn’t expect anything from me. I sleep as long as I want, he does laundry/dishes/playing/cooking...I do basically nothing all weekend. Lol And during the week, if he is home early enough, he usually takes over bedtime routines....I cook dinner every night though. And I do all the cleaning & cooking through the week bc I’m home, so it makes sense for it to be done before he’s even home.
