So Gavin, are you and the Dept of Education working on a plan for all of the special education students now sitting in limbo without their services? I know I’m not the only parent whose wondering how long these children, especially ones transitioning and moving on are going to be in limbo. Zay’s IEP is due 4/2 and I needed it ASAP if my son gets into the Montessori Charter so they can start working on his accommodations, which may include an aide. This is a mess for those of us with children with disabilities, especially those of us who are still in early intervention. All we can do is wait and see...

Yes! I was wondering the same. My son has been without services even longer because a week before school was canceled he was sick. He’s way out of limbo right now.

We were the first district in my area to close so we are already two weeks into this! His teacher sent us things to work on because his school is a combo of preschool and ABA. As of right now in home ABA is considered an essential medical service so that’s the only thing going on for him. We have incorporated the school plan with that ABA for now and it’s working well.

@fairykarmamomma my BT said they may switch to virtual sessions. I mean we will still be getting ABA which is great..they are going to let me know. We are on break right now so I'm hoping to be hearing anything about home schooling ect on Monday if not I will be contacting our Special Ed program specialist.
