It sounds like it needs to happen. I wouldn't want to be with someone that can't understand children.
While yes kids will not listen and that's generally a kid thing, it's not an excuse for them to misbehave. Kids still need to be taught right from wrong and which behaviors are inappropriate.
Just two days ago you were asking for ways on how to discipline for this exact thing.
If the relationship ends, it ends but YOU still need to handle the situation with your children.
