I can't wait for my eldest to get over this jealousy phase. I feel like I'm not bonding enough with my newborn because she cries and I don't wanna make her feel left out, so instead I just feed the baby and put her back down (thankfully she doesn't cry) and spend more time with her. She cries through her feedings and try to push her away from me. She stuck on my arm the entire time I'm feeding her. I just wanna hold my baby and snuggle her with kisses without the crying.
@erikak that's exactly how it is. I just hope it goes away soon. Baby is growing so fast I wanna hold her longer
@lucky18 my baby is a bit over 2 months now and it's way better. My son doesn't bother her as much as he used to. And like everyone always says, involve them. I always say things like "oh you're so nice to your sister, what a great brother you are!" And lots of cuddles for him too. I feel like this baby is just growing so fast, every day is like "oh I guess she is trying to grasp things already, when did that happen 😬"
@erikak I involve her but she just pushes her away and she's so rough with her. Even when she's mean to her and hug her and tell her that's not nice. I never yell or get mad. And yes!! They grow too fast this is why I'm it bothers me I don't give her much of my time. She almost 2wks already and I can't believe it
My oldest was a terror when I had my second I couldn’t leave him alone around her because she was mean as hell 😂
@kush_queen420 she is sometimes lol. She tries to poke her eyes while I'm feeding her or kiss her which is more like a head but because she does it so hard. I always have my other hand up guarding her because she comes out of no where to do these things
@lucky18, omg I know its so frustrating lol I mean eventually she got over it but I can’t remember when 😂
There’s a lot of times I have them both in one arm or on each side of my chest. My son said one day “why is the baby more important?” I explained to him she isn’t more important. Sometimes a sibling has a need that is more of a priority but everyone is just as important.
@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts That would break my heart if my daughter asked me that. I had to order the baby wrap carrier. I got it today so I'm hoping that's gonna work for us. I can have her on me while I still give my eldest attention.
@lareina_kk it's so hard because because you don't wanna make the older one feel left out but you're also losing time with the baby also and this is my last so maybe that's why its bothering me so much. I wanna enjoy her
I snuggle her when my eldest is asleep and shes awake. Sometimes in the morning i get both to snuggle me and he "holds" her now
@lii94 I do that too but I feel so bad during the day when she's up and I just have her lying there. She only gets my time at night and I feel guilty for that😔
@emmamarch16th I did order one. I got it in the mail yesterday and I'll be using it today wo hopefully it works
My baby girl does not let me do anything all day 😭 I'm lucky if everything is done before my s.o gets home , she cried so I pick her up to feed her and change her diaper and once she's on my breast she eats and I burp her put her down and she'll cry I get her again and she's on my breast not even latched on just smelling my boobs 😭 I'm like girl really lmao she wants me to carry her or be with her all day , girl I wish I could lmao
Doc says I'm still 2cms and I'm about 60-70% softened but baby hasn't dropped completely and I just wanna cry like if she hasn't dropped all the way then why does my pelvics feel like this somebody help how do I get this baby to drop more 😞🤦🏽♀️
Bad mommy!!! :(
I dropped my phone on my baby's head this morning when I was nursing her!! :*( She cried, I cried... It was a cry fest!! :(
I've been trying the "cry it out" method with my baby but I just can't do it!😭 every time she cries, I feel like I just have to hold her. It breaks my heart to just sit there and listen to her cry.
Mommies, thoughts on picking up or coddling a newborn every time they cry?
My baby’s been fussy the last couple of days and me or my husband will pick her up every time she cries and she’s getting used to that I’m assuming. I just don’t want her to be fussy and she cries like someone’s murdering her.
I have/had the same happening. Usually I sit on the couch with the baby on the breastfeeding pillow. My son comes and gives her kisses and I play with her and make eye contact etc while I also talk to my son lol but the first month was a lot of feeding and putting her down right away... i think that's just the way it goes.
