Any tips on getting splinters out. My daughter has one in her pinky. The school nurse just called. She said she broke most of it off trying to get it out so now there's a piece still imbedded in her skin 🙄
I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. At first I told him “only let her get one toy” so she picks one up and he is still holding her over the toy box then tries to put her over the baby gate so she can grab more. I’m sorry but you aren’t the one that has to pick up all these toys. You aren’t the one who has to put them back. He never picks up toys. Everyone wants to get the toys out for her out no one ever wants to help me pick them back up. The fact that I said not to let her get anything out of the box more than 5 times really pisses me off. You may be her grandparent but you aren’t her parent. So now I have mass toys to pic up on top of the toys she already had out from this morning
Dad's FB Video!! Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
I can't believe it My cousin stayed with me rent free from September 2015 to April 2016 and her stuff is still in my apartment. She's been saying she was going to come get her stuff for months. She text me this morning saying that she was going to come and get her stuff soon, and I asked her if I could have her air mattress. She tried to charge me $60 for it. The air mattress sells new for $35 on amazon and she didn't even pay $60 for it. I didn't respond and she just text me saying the $60 was for a microwave she bought me and her air mattress. When she got the microwave, it was a gift. Then when my son was in the hospital from October to January out of town, I was going to get my internet service turned off until I returned home. My cousin was doing school work online, so I paid for it while I was away so she could use it. I'm trying to figure out a response to her. ?
Her helmet she got so she can be safe (as she told me) when she rides her bike and scooter lol
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

I read this online once so idk if it’s true or not because obviously you can’t believe everything you see online. But supposedly if you put the inside of an egg shell on the splinter it will help the splinter come up.

Draw out salve. It’s this foul smelling black stuff that you can buy. Put a dab of it on the splinter and cover with bandaid. It will help it work it’s way out

@massgirl, no I don’t think so. I haven’t used it since I was a kid with a splinter but I don’t recall burning.

cool good luck! If you do use it make sure you used a decent bandage because it can stain and smells kinda like tar. Helpful for ingrown hairs too

Put some Neosporin on it and wrap for a little bit with a bandaid and let the cream work itself in. Then have her wash her hands in really warm water and loosen it up and try to distract her any way you can and it should come right out with tweezers then. Without a fight hopefully

@kush_queen420 @scream.queen ...I'm panicking. She HATES tweezers. I'm sure she was freaking out at the nurse and that was part of the problem. I'm going to try an Epsom salt soak.

Tweezers and push the end with your nail to push it forward.
