Well I was prescribed a small dose of Xanax and Paxil for my anxiety. I don’t even want to take meds unless I know it will help me 😩 does anyone take these and does it help??
Xanax was very helpful for me when I was younger. I took it only as needed as it works very quickly. It helped me get through some of my severe anxiety attacks. I’ve never tried Paxil, I was on a different one but I have heard some success stories with it. Just know that if it doesn’t work for you that doesn’t mean another wouldn’t either. Also most antidepressants need a while to build up in your system so do not give up right away. It could take weeks to notice any changes with the Paxil.
You won’t know until you try it yourself. If your feeling very panicky I say the Xanax will calm you down. The Paxil will take few weeks to get going in your system to see any difference. I have had to try many different antidepressants before I found one that works. When I can’t control my panic attacks with natural remedies, like grounding myself, I will sometimes take Ativan. Kind of the same thing as Xanax. You should look u some tips on what to do when you feel a panic attack coming on.
Xanax is a great PRN and very small doses can have a big impact. I’ve also seen huge success with Paxil
@monstermommax3, the dr told me to take half of the Xanax pill so whatever dose that means.
@bbgirlmama, what mg is the pill? It’s most likely a 0.5 mg pill meaning a 0.25 dose. Which is what I would suggest.
Everyone’s body responds differently to medicine especially mental health Meds. Xanax helped me during panic attacks. It’s a medicine that is used as a “rescue medicine”.
I want so bad to take it but I’m terrified it’s going to make me worse for some reason
