Anybody drive a Honda ? How many miles is too many miles ? I saw a nice 2008 Civic but it has like 250,000 miles on it 🥴 I was told Honda’s with high mileage won’t hurt but I mean 🤷🏽♀️ anybody Honda smart ? Help a sister out 😣

@teresha_h, Yes! I have full coverage insurance for about $700 per year and I spend about $2700 per year between maintenance and fixing something old. I just did that actually so I’m good for the rest of the year except 1-2 oil changes.
I figured the average car note is $300 a month for a cheaper vehicle and when you add insurance it was closer to $5k per year to buy and finance a car. You may need to fix it while you’re still making that car note. That’s more money. So while I have a younger child I chose a sensible used suv that I’ll be okay with getting dirty on road trips and I take a lot of those. By the time I retire the car my son will be 8 and out of the super messy phase and I’ll be ready to finance something.

@fairykarmamomma, That definitely makes sense. I just need a car that’ll move I really don’t want to finance anything either, maybe that’s one of my issues not that I can’t afford it but I just don’t want to 🤦🏽♀️ hardest decision ever I tell ya
Honda’s are really great cars cheap to fix and easier to maintain but that does sound like a lot of mileage

Way too many miles. You should look for something around 80,000-100,000.

My next car will be a Honda Pilot, a lot of cars have issues after around 150k miles. Honestly I would find a reliable dealership to help look for a used car. We got a Hyundai Tucson in sept for 10k miles for under 20k.

Hollywood gush (waters) I'm curious as to how many people had the Hollywood gush, trickled waters, broken in hospital etc. I don't know anybody who's waters have broke naturally x

I have a 2001 acura which is a Honda product and it has 214k and with how I care for it, will hit 300k before I retire it. I save a lot of money long term driving an old car and keeping it maintained, that’s just me.
