20 things you would only know if you've had a c-section..
1. Whether you felt fear, disappointment or even relief, when you're told you're having an emergency caesarean it's a big deal.
2. Birth plan out the window, it started to feel very real seeing your birth partner all gowned up.
3. You've never felt such a strong urge to move, as when they were putting in that spinal injection.
4. As if that’s not bad enough, you have to sign a declaration "Don't move or you might become paralysed" Totally terrifying!
5. You're then terrified the anaesthetic won't work and you’re going to feel them cut you open.
6. Then suddenly they are inside you and you didn’t even know. It's not terrible, although weirdly it felt a bit like they were doing the washing up.
7. Then came the shakes. No one mentioned that bit! You literally can't stop your arms moving.
8. Wow there was a lot of people in that very small room. Dignity was out the window.
And After...
9. Oh the pain! Being hit by a car pretty much sums it up.
10. The painkillers were good, but you certainly paid for it, if ever late taking them.
11. Why was everywhere soooooooo itchy.
12. That first walk to the bathroom felt like a marathon. But, so much pride when you completed that shuffle.
13. Then came the really weird wind bubbles, that actually hurt.
14. And a shower? seriously, you felt like you should of had a medal for getting through that first time.
15. Soft baggy joggers were your go to. Worn like Simon Cowell and on repeat for days.
16. You really didn't expect to still bleed so much.
17. The scariest thing of all though, was going for a poo!
18. Well that, or when the midwife asked to touch your scar.
19. The scar was talked about, but why did no one warn you about the tummy shelf you’re left with.
20. C-sections, the so called easy way out, as if!
♥️SHARE IF YOU'RE A C-SECTION WARRIOR♥️
I’ve had 4 csections and this is all so real!!!
I had an emergency c-section and cried like a baby when they told they had to hurry up and do it bc baby heart rate was dropping. My surgeon was AMAZING! My scar is unnoticeable and my baby will be 4 weeks tomorrow. But the recovery - HORRIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I know I’m not having no more babies EVER. I started feeling better the middle of last week but I don’t ever want to go through that again.
@kilaisgreat, if it makes you feel any better my second recovery wasn’t as bad as my first. I was up walking way sooner and I actually went home the next day.
@2sweetie, lol noooo. It’s crazy because now that I feel better I can’t remember the pain but all I know is when I was in pain I kept saying “I’m never having another baby”
@kilaisgreat, well the more time passes the less you remember the pain. Your baby will grow up and you’ll be wanting another one. We’ve all been there! Lol
I’ve had 2 c-sections. The worst part is the nursing constantly reminding you that you have to get up and walk only 24 hours after and you feel like you wanna die. My second one wasn’t as bad and I actually went home the next day, the worst part was actually the spinal. He had to do it twice because the first one did nothing for me 😩 Needless to say I’m done having kids. I could never go thru that again.
@queenbitch, everyone is different. I actually had way too much milk with both babies! My daughter breastfed til 2.5 years and my son is 22 months and still going 😊
@2sweetie, I wish I was like that but I don’t make enough and I hate my self for that
@queenbitch, awww I’m sorry to hear that! Give it a try with your 4th and even if you only go a few weeks that’s still better than nothing!
But... overall it was NOWHERE near as bad as o thought it was gonna be. I actually recovered pretty fast and good. I was ready to walk around as soon as they would let me. My scare is bikini line and barely there they even released me earlier than what they said they normally keep c section for because of how well I recovered. The only thing really hard for me was pooping. It took me a week to go the first time and took 3 weeks to get where I was going regular again. Lol
The one I feel the MOST was 17. Going for a poo. Lol I didn't get tummy shelf though cause I got bikini line cut and it's barely noticeable. And yes on the shakes I was like why am I shaking I'm not cold I feel like a crack head. Lol
@queenbitch I wss was too. And plus I felt like I just really couldn't. Lol
@saintsmama, I had to go but I was just terrified to poo
The pain is horrible and then you add the gas omg noooo lol
@queenbitch I didnt have to go that was a big part of why I was scared of when I did go.
I had a c section and I was determined to never have one again! I had my second daughter by successful vbac! 🙌🏼
It is 100% not the easy way out. I was terrified to be told I needed a c section. I didn’t thankfully but I definitely give props to c section mamas. That ish is serious!
Hats off to all mamas who had c-sections. I have not have a c-section but when I was pregnant with my babygirl I had complete placenta previa until 34 weeks. And when my Dr. told me 9 times out of 10 i was gonna have c section for sure I was devastated!! I cried so bad because I was scared and I kept telling my husband I was scared of the pain and recovery time but I’m scared to get any type of procedure done that requires cutting anywhere on my body. Week 34 my Dr told me I could have a vaginal delivery and he was even shocked because most times Complete Previa does not resolve. I was super relieved and it made me realize even more how powerful a woman’s body is and I just bow to any woman that has had a c-section PERIOD!
My first born was to big and got stuck in the birth canal
I was in labor for 15 hours till they decided I needed an emergency c section
My second Norns heart rate went extremely low so he had to come out ASAP
My third born got so big that he ran out of space and started feeling anxious to the point they needed to shock him to remind him to keep breathing so he had to come out ASAP
This time around they don’t want any issues to happen so she’s coming out through c section and I’m honestly not looking forward to it
I give c section mommies props ❤️! I’m terrified to have one and hope I never have to 😣
I’ve had 3
Soon I’ll have my 4th and last one
#7 THE SHAKES!! -I had to ask the nurse for gauze for my teeth 🥶 bbrrr
#9 The pain. -I honestly expected worse. I put in and adjusted her car seat as we left the hospital. I was doing laundry and washing dishes within two days of being home (up/down stairs)
#18 & #19 -on point! Ouchie!!
I think I felt them all
I’m honestly not looking forward to feeling all of that again
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
