Let’s talk family dinner. Who sits down as a family for dinner every night? We do. We were always the kids who had to be home at 5pm for dinner and I’ll do the same with my kids. Dinner is my favorite meal of the day cause it’s the only meal that we sit down as a family and eat. We talk about our day and I get to know so much about my kids while sitting and chatting. So who’s with me on this?

We do! I think it’s important for a family to sit at the table and talk about their day. Growing up, we never did! My dad would be eating his food on the couch watching tv, my mom would be standing in the kitchen eating hers while scrolling on her phone, and me and my sisters would either be at the table on our phones or we would be in our rooms eating.
Our table isn’t large enough but I’ve also stoped cooking for my butthole children who do nothing but complain about my food. So they make their own shit from the freezer now.
Do they eat together? On nights I don’t cook mine still eat together. Even the oldest. A lot more bickering though 🙄

We do always. I grew up neglected and ate in front of a TV. It wasn’t until I spent time with my grandparents as an adult that I had family type dinners at a table once a week and it meant the world to me. When my gma died I got to take her table so it’s super special to me.
We do when we can. My husband is usually not home until 7 or later so I’m on dinner duty alone with the kids. I always eat with them though!
We do! Although it’s hard to get my daughter to stay at the table right now. But this will be a family “rule”. No cell phones, no tv, no toys during dinner time. I grew up always eating dinner together. We actually ate in the living room together all watching tv. I have good memories of it!
I am. We will sit and eat pizza in the living room once in a while but 98% of the time we are at the dinner table.
My mother was a 5 pm on the dot dinner lady. My husband has meetings or hits traffic but we always eat dinner together. At the very least I feed our daughter and wait for him to come home so we can eat together. On Fridays we always got out to eat together. There have been studies that show that families thrive better went they sit down and have meal together.
We don’t but I also never grew up like that we got to eat when ever we wanted cause everyone wasn’t always hungry at a specific time and same now in my house the kids eat when ever they want.. we do other things tho as a family to make up for it ❤️
We don't just because my husband isn't home at a set time. I can't make my babies wait till 6 sometimes 8 (if we have an extra curricular) to eat. I wish we could though 😔

I mean I do if we can. I'm hoping when we move I'll be able to more but during the summer my husband doesn't get home till like 7 😬. We always ate dinner early (4-5 ish) so I can't have my kids wait till 7.
We do! My husband and I talked about it before we had kids. I've always wanted that since I've never had a it growing up. It's my favorite time also because he leaves at 5:30am and get home around 5:30pm. Then he has to get ready for the next day and spend whatever little time he has with our daughter, but regardless of how little time he has we always eat together and talk just about anything
I would love to but our schedule is crazy. Me and my husband rotate schedules and are never really home at the same time
We do too! It’s nice to just sit together and the only thing you need to do is eat and enjoy each other’s company
Locking your doors
We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?
10 meals, 8 will double so this equals 18 dinners for my family!

Hubby just left for work we on better term this morning we talked every thing over he say he sorry about talking to me that way and don’t want to loose his family over something stupid
Growing up neither of our families did. We do though. Our schedules won’t always match but whoever is eating eats together. We also use the time to have healthy conversations.. Were loud and crazy most of the time 😜
*edit to add* My mom always cooked but never really sat down. We all just ate when we felt like it. Not really all together.
