For Christmas my daughter got a pair of earrings. Well we decided to put them on her (I made sure to clean them prior).
I usually put them in and take them out. But I’ve been so busy. It’s been a week & I just took them out today.
I immediately noticed on both ears (one worse than the other) that it seems to be irritated. So I got a cotton swab and cleaned both piercings with antibacterial soap and put neosporin on both after. I just did it again tonight before I put her to sleep.
I still feel like one bump in the inside right where her piercings are. She doesn’t even seem to be bothered. Is there anything more I can do? I feel so horrible that I didn’t pay more attention and I hope I didn’t cause any more harm.

Its not good to put them in and take them out all the time infection is most likely to happend

And thats why theres little bumps in her ears if you would just leave them in her ears will get use to it and the little bumps will go away normally bumps happend whem the hole tries to close and not worry it wont hurt the bumps

Maybe I should explain myself better. The only time my daughter wears earrings are if we take pictures and go out for a special occasion. She never sleeps in earrings. So it isn’t like I’m taking them out every day and irritating her ears. This happened because I didn’t take them out.

It could be just because she’s not used to wearing them. Then she had them in for so long. My ears do the same. I rarely wear them and when I do my ears always end up with bumps and is sore so a little. I always clean with rubbing alcohol when they get like that.
