How do you know when a car seat expires. I can see on the car seat when it was made but no expiration date. Do they expire? I thought they did lol
When should I change to a high back booster? So my son is 5&1/2 years old and about 55lbs. He still in a 5 point harness car seat. When should I change him to the high back booster seat? I have the graco 3 in one seat.
How big a deal is it if a carseat is expired? I've heard some people say it's a ploy by the car seat companies to sell more car seats. I'm leaning more towards it being a safety issue. What do you all think?
son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.
When did everyone stop using the baby carrier car seat and switch to a more permanent car seat for your little one? And what car seat do you recommend?

I think it depends on the seat, but my son’s Graco 4ever says in the manual that it’s no good 10 yrs after the manufacturers date

Yes they expire. If the side only has the manufacture date look in the manual and it will tell you how many years from manufacture date it is good for. Most seats are good 6-10 years
