I need a vice on how to get my older two kids to help me pick up after themselves they don't want to pick up their toys they don't want to pick up the garbage they throw down what do I do about it I've tried taking things away I'll try taking TV away I put them in the corner but spanking is not an option for me any other advice that help me out
I agree with the other ladies, any toys found on the ground after a certain time limit get put in a big bag and donated !
With the trash situation, I would simply say if any of your trash is being left on the floor or getting thrown behind the couch you will no longer be allowed to eat beyond the kitchen table. Every time I find 1 peice of trash you will be doing "blank" chore to make up for making the house messy. Such as sweeping or vacuuming. Hold to your guns because mice and any other bugs the trash will attract would be way worse then discipline!
Make it a game. See who can pick up the toys fastest.
Give consequences for not doing what they’re told.
Reward food behavior when they do pick up their toys
I have tried making it a game it's like I'm not talking to him I'm talking to myself an I don't like dirty house so I just do it my self I guess that's where I messed up at
Limit eating/snacking to only the kitchen table. No eating in any other room. And I third the ‘throwing away’ of the toys. I still have to use that tactic with my 5yr old on occasion & I’ve kept toys from him for a month before. And other times when his behavior is very bad. I make him put everything in the bag & we’ve went & donated it that day. Kids need to be reminded that moms are not slaves & they are capable of being independent. And they need shown that not ever kids has the toys they have & they need to be taken care of our they go to a new home that will appreciate them more. Sometimes tough love is needed.
Thank you girl I have told him that an it like I'm talking to the wall he will also be 7 in April an it's getting to me bad it like I'm still taking care of a toddler 🤦
Being a mom 24 yrs of my life 👌 take the Broom and a big black lawn garbage bag Tell them it’s clean up time or whatever is on floor and not organized in a toy bin or shelf is going in here ! It works u will see them run after the first broom sweep hahah they are definitely old enough to understand at 8&6yrs old and make them donate toys to kids who have nothing in shelters too so they can appreciate what they do have !
I'm goin to so do that. But the main thing is my son he likes to throw his garbage like snacks and stuff that he eat he tries to hide them under the couch or just throw them on the floor.. I have tried telling him he don't want to live like a slob an to pick his stuff up an he just refuses to so anything for me he also has behavior problems that we r trying to work on
@mommyof32019, by 4th grade i taught my son’s as well to do their laundry they had a basket for dirty clothes and they learn to be organized,no one is a maid by 8especially he’s capable to not hide wrappers and to get up and not be lazy to throw in trash
A little tough love? “Throw away” the stuff they won’t pick up (just hide it) and be like if you’re going to treat your things like you don’t care about them then you don’t need them.
I have tried that I tell them if they clean up an keep house clean I would give them money every Friday an it worked for one whole week lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
