I live in a top apartment with 2 kids. 3 and 1. They play and run around like normal during the day and they are in bed by 8pm no later. Were in bed by 10 no later.

Our neighbors below us call the front office every single day to complain about how loud we are with crying, thumping or banging. Which neither of my kids cry much at all. The only time they cry is when they are waking from a nap. We even make sure we almost tip toe when we walk to make sure we arent walking loud idk if that makes sense?? Today my husband got a call at work again about another complaint. Apparently they sleep during the day and they are awake at night and we are keeping them up front their sleep. Now before you think they work at night they don't. In fact I don't know which one of them does work but I know 1 person there does work during the day because I used to leave for work the same time they did. She was actually nice before and told me how cute my kids were. First and last time I ever talked to her. Theres a guy who lives there also who I have never seen leave the apartment unless hes with her. I've noticed lately (I've been paying attention to it) that theres no activity or anything going on during the day there (which explains hes prob sleeping while shes at work) and then at night (everytime I come home from the store or late in general) all the lights are on and hes sitting on his computer (his blinds are open and its located in the living room in front of the slider door) not that I'm being a creep and looking in I just glance over when I'm walking by to the stairs. So I know hes prob up all night. I say know because I've come home at 9pm and hes been there and I've come home at 3am (coming home from a road trip) and hes been there. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do? I dont work right now so me and the kids are home all day now. (He was still calling to complain even when nobody was home but our dog. Our small football sized dog lol) I started wondering if I really was loud but after today I know hes just an asshole. My 3 year old has been in bed all day sick with his tablet. Hasn't even been up once but to go potty. And our 1 year old has been watching disney+ with me all day on the couch since hes not feeling well either. So no stomping or running or anything has been going on today. And our dog has been cuddled up with my 3 year old. We dont have the tv up loud or anything the sound is actually going out on it so when we tune it up to 25 it cuts out lol we are literally so freaking quiet today. We plan on renewing our lease but at the same time is it even worth it?? My husband told the office he doesnt want anymore calls about this. Hes at work and its not okay to disrupt his work so someone can take a nap. The office told us they understand and that we are not in trouble or doing anything wrong. We had a talk with the office when we first moved in because this same neighbor has come up and pounded on our front door and told us to keep it down and walked away before we even said anything. And he always pounds on his roof to let us know were "loud" and he slams his slider door when we open ours. Like idk what his problem is?? What are we supposed to really do? I cant keep my kids in corner because he sleeps all day??? Normally people are awake when the sun is out. So?? Like I was prepared to deal with noise and unwanted smells when we had to move into an apartment. I feel like everyone has to to just deal with it when they move into an apartment. I'm not saying unreasonable noise has to be delt with but noise in general. Not to mention we are on a street side. We have loud lawn mower cars drive by and race up and down the street 24/7 like come on lol I know were not louder than that 😂 sorry for the long rant I'm just so freaking done with this guy lol
